Abstract

The waste transportation service in Zone 1 of Pekanbaru City consists of 4 sub-districts, namely, Binawidya District, Tuah Madani District, Payung Sekaki District and Marpoyan Peace District. The distribution of waste transportation zones in Pekanbaru City is divided based on the location of the region. The zoning of waste transportation services is carried out in order to realize effective and efficient waste transportation in Pekanbaru City. The total population in the zone 1 area in 2021 is 432.284 people. The increase in population that occurs every year greatly affects people's consumption patterns which can increase the amount of waste generation. In 2021, the amount of waste generated in the zone area is 10,284 tons. To overcome the problem of urban waste, adequate means of transporting waste are needed. Pekanbaru City Environment and Forestry Office in collaboration with PT. Godang Tua Jaya as the organizer of waste transportation in Zone 1 of Pekanbaru City has 24 units of dump trucks, 7 units of arm roll cars, 8 pick up cars, 2 units of backhoe loaders and 3 units of motorized tricycles that transport garbage. This study aims to determine the pattern of the waste transportation system used and to determine the performance of waste transportation in the Zone 1 City of Pekanbaru can be Based on the Regulation of the Minister of Public Works Number 3 of 2013 concerning the Implementation of Waste Facilities and Infrastructure in Handling Household Waste and Similar Household Waste.
