Abstract
The more rapid technological advances, the more means of transportation are created in the form of cars using Diesel motors. One of the factors that affect the performance of the Diesel engine is the poor fuel injection pressure at the nozzle. So it is necessary to research the nozzle pressure with the aim of engine performance and the pressure on the injector can result in a decrease in exhaust emission levels in Diesel motors. In this study, the nozzle pressure variations were 117.68 Bar, 127.49 Bar, and 137.29 Bar with CN 51 fuel and the selected rotations were 1000 rpm, 1500 rpm and 2000 rpm. The test results obtained that the highest torque value occurs at a nozzle pressure of 137.29 Bar with a rotation of 2000 rpm, which is 359.38 Nm, the highest power value is 102.28 PS and the highest thermal efficiency also occurs at a nozzle pressure of 137.29 Bar, which is 30%. . Meanwhile, the highest decrease in fuel consumption occurred at a pressure of 137.29 Bar and 2000 rpm of 3.75 kg/hour. The results of testing the exhaust emissions of carbon monoxide (CO) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) decreased at a pressure of 127.49 and a rotation of 2000 rpm, namely 833 ppm and 12 ppm.
