Abstract
research with the title "The Effect of Ketapang Leaf Bokashi Organic Fertilizer and NPK 16:16:16 on the Growth and Production of Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.) Plants. The objectives of this study were: to determine the interaction effect of organic fertilizer Bokashi ketapang leaves and NPK 16:16:16 on the growth and production of sorghum. The research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru City. The research was conducted for 4 months from September to December 2019. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) 4x4 factorial consisting of 2 factors, the first factor was the dose of organic fertilizer for ketapang leaves (P) with 4 levels, namely 0, 1.3, 3.0 and 4.5 kg / plot and. The second factor was NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 (N) fertilizer with 4 levels, namely 0, 3.75, 7.50 and 11.25 g / plant in order to obtain 16 treatment combinations. Each treatment consisted of 3 replications in order to obtain 48 experimental units (plots). Each experimental unit (plot) consisted of 6 plants and 3 of them were used as sample plants, and obtained 288 plants. Observations: plant height, flowering age, harvest age, panicle length, panicle weight per plant, dry seed weight and 1000 dry seed weight. Data were analyzed statistically if F count was greater than F table, then continued testing of Honest Significant Difference at the 5% level. Based on the results of the study it was concluded: by interaction the treatment of ketapang leaf bokashi and NPK 16:16:16 significantly affected all the parameters of the observation. The best treatment was ketapang leaf bokashi 4.5 kg / plot and NPK 16:16:16 11.25 g / plant (B3N3). The main effect of ketapang leaf bokashi dose was significant on all parameters of the observation. The best treatment was a dose of 4.5 kg / plot of ketapang leaf bokashi (B3). The main effect of NPK 16:16:16 dose was significant on all observed parameters. The best treatment was NPK 16:16:16 dose 11.25 g / plant (N3).
