Abstract
In facing the demands of the 21st century and the industrial revolution 4.0, algorithms and programming courses are very important to master. Tracer study data on graduates of the Informatics Engineering Study Program at the Islamic University of Riau in 2017-2020 shows that only around 36.72% of graduates who work in the field of Informatics expertise. In this study the authors raised the research problem, namely "How to develop an E-Diagnostics application to determine the level of understanding of students in algorithms and programming courses". The purpose of this research is "To make it easier for lecturers to diagnose students' logical abilities in algorithms and programming courses". The method used is a diagnostic test development research method. From the black box testing that has been carried out, the E-Diagnostics application is able to diagnose the category of student understanding of each material, each student, all materials, all students, and all questions from student test scores. The results of the application assessment questionnaire have a percentage of 87.4%, so the classification of the level of satisfaction in this application is feasible to be implemented.
