Abstract

lending by banks as a financial institution should be able to provide legal protection for credit lenders and recipients. At present the position and interests of customers are not well protected, on the other hand the bank's position is very dominant which will certainly prioritize the interests of the bank itself. In practice, one of the customers who was given the ease of using BNI Flexi products stated that although given the convenience, the customer also had a complaint that the interest was too high compared to other credit applications, then when the customer entered into the agreement there was no previous bank providing notification of the existence of a final fee for repayment that is not in accordance with the term of the agreement but when the customer wants to pay off the debt, the customer is required to make the final fee. The main problem of this research is How the Protection of Customer Credit Agreements of PT. Bank Negara Indonesia Persero Tbk PekanbaruSudirman Main Branch Office According to Law Number 8 of 1999 Concerning Consumer Protection, and What are the Obstacles in Providing Protection to Customer Credit Agreements of PT. Bank Negara Indonesia Persero Tbk Pekanbaru-Sudirman Main Branch Office. The research method used was observational research that is by means of surveys, by means of surveys, meaning that researchers directly conduct research at the location of the study, while the nature of this study is descriptive. The results of research and discussion are known Protection of BNI Flexi Customers at PT. Bank Negara Indonesia Persero Tbk Pekanbaru-Sudirman Main Branch Office According to Law Number 8 of 1999 Concerning Consumer Protection, it has been carried out by trying to protect bank customers by providing limits on the standard clauses set by banks by providing the provision of information about possible risks customer losses, deposits and financial condition of customers as well as credit recipient data and collectibility reported by the Bank to Bank Indonesia or the Financial Services Authority, and Obstacles in Providing Protection for BNI Flexi Customers at PT. Bank Negara Indonesia Persero Tbk Pekanbaru-Sudirman Main Branch Office is the Customer does not pay attention to clear and complete information about BNI Flexi products and customer attitude is not meticulous seen when the customer fills out an application or form. Where the customer does not read in advance about the provisions and requirements attached to the application or form, resulting in losses to the customer himself
