Abstract

Almost all companies are required to have employees who are competent and have good performance, one form that can play a role in employee performance is work engagement which is a positive state of mind, to fulfill the desires contained in oneself where a state of mind that is only seventh in a job, and also that can play a role that is resilience which is the ability to survive by overcoming the difficulties of unpleasant experiences. This study aims to look at the relationship between resilience with work engagemet in marketing officer employee PT.Dipo international pahala otomotif , Pekanbaru. this study involved 135 employees. The sampling technique of this study was simple random sampling. This research data uses a scale of resilience and work engagement. The statistical analysis method used is product moment correlation from Pearson. Conducting testing by categorizing with 5 categories for each variable included in the medium category with a resilience value of 40.7% and work involvement of 35.6%. Assumptions test results consisting of tests with normalityKolmolgorov-Smirnov method obtained results that were normally distributed with a significance value of 0.182 resilience and work engagement of 0.349. linearity test that gets a linear result with p valueamounted to 0.431. The determinant test gets results which see how the effect of the resilience variable on work engagement is 0.1%. Then do the normality test with a correlation value (r) of 0.034 (0.699 p ≤ 0.05). This shows that the hypothesis is rejected. With the explanation that there is no significant relationship between the variables of resilience and work engagement in the employees of PT.Dipo Internasional pahala otomotif , Pekanbaru. Thus resilience cannot fully predict work engagement in employees.
