Abstract
This research was conducted in Baru Lempur Village, Gunung Raya District, Kerinci Regency. This study aims to determine the appropriateness of the accounting application in the Baru Lempur village government with the generally accepted accounting principles. Sources of data used in this study are primary and secondary data. Primary data is data obtained directly from the original source by conducting interviews directly with informants who are directly related to the source of the problem that is happening, namely village officials. Meanwhile, secondary data is a data source that does not directly provide data to data collectors, where the data sources are obtained from literature, articles and internet sites related to research. The data collection techniques used in this study were interviews and documentation. In this research, the writer uses descriptive method. Based on the results of the data analysis that has been done, it can be concluded that the application of accounting in the Baru Lempur Village government is not fully in accordance with the General Accepted Accounting Principles.
