Abstract
This study aims to find out how the communication styles of class adviser, in providing counselling guidance in No. 115 Public Elementary School to foster dating behavior among elementary school children who are relatively unhealthy type. Where at this time children who are still in elementary school, have started to establish relationships between the opposite sex with dating, and now there are many memes on social media such as Instragram that talks about children who are dating. Even recently there is a phenomenon about children who are dating that can be said to be adult courting. This study uses a qualitative method. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation and verification conclusions. The results of research of class adviser is based on interviews and observations. The class adviser allows socialization specifically for sixth grade elementary pupils. All of these socialization focus on the students that are not engaging in unhealthy dating relationships. Teachers only provide special coaching to their students if their courtship activities are problematic such as, hindering their achievement at school and if there are students who has an understanding beyond their age regarding unhealthy dating behavior such as kissing on the lips and kissing on the cheek. From the results of the study, researchers concluded that the proven communication style undertaken by class adviser in fostering dating behavior of children is one-way communication style and two-way communication style.
