Abstract

The study of literary psychology in Tere Liye's novel Bintang is a research relating to character representation and character conflict. The problems of this research are: 1 ) How are the characters in Tere Liye's novel Bintang? 2) How character conflict in Tere Liye? s novel Bintang. The research objective is to describe, analyze, and conclude the characterizations and conflicts of the insiders literature psychology. The data sources of this research are quotations from the novel Bintang by Tere Liye which deals with literary psychology, in particular the characterization and conflict of characters. especially the internal and external conflicts in Tere Liye's novel Bintang. Methodology The author's research uses the theory of Hamidy UU (2012) Discussion of Fiction and Works Poetry, Minderop Albertine (2010) Psychology of Literature, Methods, Theory, and Examples the case, Dantes Nyoman (2012 ). The data collection technique in this research is technique hermeunetic. The data analysis technique in this research is to analyze or process data collected from research. The research results conclude in the novel Bintang Tere Liye's work includes characterization and character conflict, especially internal conflict and external in the novel Bintang by Tere Liye. The characters are Ali, Seli, Raib, Miss Selena and the Council Secretariat.
