Abstract

Field X is a field with heavy oil characteristic. Heavy oil is defined as oil with viscosity > 100 cp, this characteristic made heavy oil difficult to produce because it is difficult to flow. In Field X, there are ± 6000 production wells, where every day there are wells that having production underperformance. The human limitation to carry out a manual check on each well makes the need for a much more automated process without having to eliminate the sense of engineering possessed by engineers (experts). Short cyclic is the most frequent stimulation in field X with more than 200 jobs every month. Short cyclic job is proven to be an effective and economical stimulation process in increasing oil recovery in underperforming wells. To improve the optimization of short cyclic jobs, it is necessary to evaluate the short cyclic jobs for the last 1.5 years. Based on the results of the evaluation that has been carried out, several condition can be taken for selecting short cyclic job candidates, including: 1) The greater the water cut, which is above 80%, the higher the trend of success of short cyclic jobs and the acquisition of oil gain after work. 2) The greater the hydrocarbon pore thickness, which is above 10 ft, the higher the trend of the success of the short cyclic work and the acquisition of oil gain after work. 3) The greater the oil decline rate, which is above 60%, the higher the trend of the success of short cyclic jobs and the acquisition of oil gains after work. The application of fuzzy logic software shows fairly good results in the selection of short cyclic job candidates. The results of its application gave an increase in the success ratio to 60% and the oil gain to 4.14 bopd
