Abstract

The decline in the production of a well must be taken immediately so that the well is not abandoned sooner. For this reason, it is necessary to carry out an advanced stage of production planning, namely Waterflooding. Waterflooding is a method of obtaining the second stage (secondary recovery) which is carried out by injecting water into the reservoir. The purpose of this waterflooding: (1) maintain reservoir pressure in accordance with current production operations, (2) assist in the sweeping of oil debris in the formation. This study is an evaluation of water injection at the NASA field in Riau province, this field has an irregular pattern type due to the location of the injection well and its irregular production both the distance and the placement of the well location. Through this study, researchers investigated the connectivity between injection wells and production wells by conducting tests to see whether there was any influence between production wells on injection using the well interference test method. Well interference test is a pressure test method in seeing communication between wells. This study was conducted using the IMEX 2015 Computer Modelling Group (CMG) simulator with parameters related to pressure, injection rate, production rate, by analyzing production history, then subsequently reservoir modeling.
