Abstract

Oil and gas are still the number one need and their use continues to increase. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct exploration to find new oil and gas reserves. One of the basins that have the potential for oil and gas is the Y basin. This basin has been extensively explored and developed. This research has the aim of calculating the number of hydrocarbon reserves in the X formation, and Y basin using the volumetric method. The reserve calculation is carried out using several data, namely 3D seismic data, well log data, and marked log data. The good log data used is log data from wells in the research area, which is 3 well log data. Based on the qualitative analysis of the existing log data, it was found that the lithology in the study area was sand, clay, and silt. From the results of seismic interpretation carried out and obtained data from the company for its area per each layer is for the 1900' sand layer of 155 acres, 197 acres of 1960' sand, and 316 acres of 2120' sand. The potential zone for the formation X basin Y has reservoir thickness values for the three layers respectively 6,6 ft, 18,6 ft, and 28,6 ft. Porosity values are 20%, 25% and 28%. The water saturation values are 35%, 18%, and 11%. The results of the estimated value of the number of hydrocarbon reserves after calculating the volumetric method, the Original Oil In Place (OOIP) is layer 1 of 636.537,541 STB, layer 2 of 5.307.383,46 STB, and layer 3 of 15.912.872,7 STB
