Abstract

ANALYSIS OF FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE COMMUNITIES IN CONDUCTING COMMUTER MIGRATION (Case Study: Siak Hulu Subdistrict, Kampar Regency) ABSTRACT Good developments in the economic sector and centralized economic activity in the city of Pekanbaru have the potential to cause mobility of commuter residents in the outskirts of the city of Pekanbaru, namely Siak Hulu subdistrict, Kampar Regency is increasing. This phenomenon occurs because of the push factor in Siak Hulu Subdistrict which makes people going to commuter migration to Pekanbaru City to get a better livelihood. The purpose of this research is to find out the most dominant factor influencing the community in commuting in the Subdistrict of Siak Hulu, Kampar Regency. This research uses descriptive quantitative and associative analysis methods with sampling techniques carried out using porposive sampling of 100 respondents. The analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression by SPSS version 20. The results of this study are (1) people who commuter migrate in Siak Hulu Subdistrict are mostly done by people who are male, that is 65%. The average age of the most dominant commuter that is people who have an adult age (26 years - 45 years) of 64% with the latest education is S1 as much as 55%. The total income of commuters is 1,100,000 - 4,000,000 as much as 59%, with the distance from the origin to the city center which is 5 km - 10km as much as 28% and is mostly done by people who have motorcycle types that is 78%. (2) significant factors that influence the community in commuter migration are gender, age, income, facility availability and vehicle ownership, as well as the most dominant factor affecting the income factor.
