Abstract

THE PRACTICE OF BUYING AND SELLING PETS IN FIQH MUAMALAH (A Case Study of Palapa Market, Payung Sekaki District, Pekanbaru City) AFRI YULITA 132310158 This study is motivated by the rampant buying and selling of pets in the development of globalization, nowadays pets are a profitable merchandise for people who are interested in animal trade business. For Muslims, the main consideration in buying and selling is halal and haram as well as should be beneficial according to Islamic law. The practice of buying and selling pets is allowed in the Sharia as long as the animal is halal according to Islamic law. The problem formulation of this study: how is the practice of buying and selling pets in Fiqh Muamalah (A Case Study Palapa Market, Payung Sekaki District, Pekanbaru City)?. The aim of this study is to investigate whether the practice of buying and selling pets is in accordance with the principles of Fiqh Muamalah. The subjects of this study are pet traders and buyers. The object of this study is the practice of buying and selling pets according to Fiqh Muamalah. The type of this study is Field Research. Data sources are primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative method. The results of this study show that the practice of buying and selling pets according to Fiqh Muamalah in Palapa Market, Payung Sekaki District, Pekanbaru City is indicated to be "in accordance with the principles of Fiqh Muamalah " which consists of various dimensions such as: harmonious in buying and selling, terms of buying and selling, terms of objects being traded , types of buying and selling, khiyar in buying and selling, usury in buying and selling, witnesses in buying and selling, contracts in buying and selling, and ethics in buying and selling. The suggestion of this study is that the practice of buying and selling should be carried out in accordance with the rules of Fiqh Muamalah and apply them in each transaction.
