Abstract

AN EVALUATION OF THE USE OF THE J-55 CASING WITH A MAXIMUM LOAD METHOD BASED ON THE VALUE OF THE CASING PRESSURE ON THE DIRECTIONAL DRILLING WELL X FIELD Z WELL ILHAM FADHIL 133210433 ABSTRACT The main objective in drilling operations is to establish a link between the productive formation and the surface. The hole resulting from the drilling process is called a well bore. The main objective of the casing design is to obtain a casing that is strong and safe enough to control well conditions during drilling and production. The most influential factors in casing planning are casing diameter, casing length, casing pressure, and casing load. The loading on the casing includes three types, namely burst load, collapse load, and tansion load. In designing the casing in this field, the things that need to be considered are burst load, collapse load, and tansion load of the casing circuit to be installed in that field. The “Z� production well is one of the wells located in X field, the “Z� well type is a type of directional well with a depth of up to 2800 ft, and was opened on 23 December 2018. Conductor pipe at depth 110 ft, size 20 inch, surface casing at depth 1200 ft, size 9 5/8 inch, and producion casing at depth 1900 ft using size 7 inch. With surface and production casing using grade J55 and range R3. Hyrostatic test is a method that aims to test the density of a weld or connection with water or air as a means. This test aims to find out how big or how strong an object is to withstand the pressure to be applied, generally this test is done on a series of pipes (casing). As an effort to support the results of this study, the authors will conduct research on the field wells of BOB PT. Bumi Siak Pusako.
