Abstract

This study aims to determine and review the implementation of government functions by the Village Consultative Body in monitoring the performance of the Village Head in Kampung Medan Village, Kuantan Hilir District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The indicators in this study are Set Standards, Measure Actual Performance, Compare Actual Results with Standards, and Take Corrective Action. This type of research which is located in the Village Consultative Body Office in the Village of Medan, Kuantan Hilir District, Kuantan Singingi Regency is a descriptive analysis type of research with a qualitative approach. Where to conduct direct research in the village of Medan, Kuantan subdistrict, downstream, Kuantan Singi district in order to get existing problems based on actual facts, at the time of research using the type of research interview, observation, and documentation as a means of collecting data. The technique of collecting research informants was carried out using purposive sampling, namely a method of determining informants who were determined deliberately on the basis of certain criteria or considerations, namely through people who were directly involved in the implementation of government functions by the village consultative body in monitoring the performance of the village head. Based on the research conducted, it was found that the implementation of government functions by the village consultative body in supervising the performance of the village head in the village of Medan, Kuantan District, Downstream, Kuantan Singi Regency has not been going well, this is because the Village Consultative Body carries out supervision but not overall this is due to lack of working visit of BPD members so that an assessment of the village program that is currently being implemented has not been carried out. Inputs and suggestions from researchers in this study are suggested that there are efforts to increase the intensity of supervision, both direct and indirect supervision, increase the awareness and responsibility of each member regarding their duties and functions, the Village Consultative Body plays an active role in submitting opinions and providing advice and direction. positive for the implementation of village governance.
