Abstract
Within the Pelalawan District Education Office, the environment itself has participated in improving civil servant discipline, but does not deny the possibility of civil servants in the Pelalawan Regency Education Office to commit an act or act that is contrary to Government Regulation Number 53 of 2010 concerning Civil Servant Discipline, such as often arriving late to work place and do not follow the morning roll call, leave work early, because they think there is no more work, leave the office for personal needs, especially female civil servants for various reasons, such as picking up children to school. This happened because of the lack of follow-up on the violations that occurred. The formulation of the problem in this research is how the implementation of mild discipline in the Pelalawan Regency Education Office based on Government Regulation Number 53 of 2010 concerning Civil Servant Discipline and what are the inhibiting factors for the implementation of mild discipline in the Pelalawan Regency Education Office based on Government Regulation Number 53 of 2010 concerning Discipline Government employees. The research method used in this research is a survey, while the nature of this research is descriptive. The population in this study consisted of 1 Head of the Pelalawan Regency Education Office and 65 Civil Servants in the Pelalawan Regency Education Office, with 78 respondents. The sampling technique was purposive sampling with a total of 26 people. The data collection tools used were questionnaires and interviews. From the results of the research conducted by the author, it is known that the implementation of light discipline in the Pelalawan Regency Education Office based on Government Regulation Number 53 of 2010 concerning Civil Servant Discipline has been running, but the punishment has not been too maximal based on the PP no. 53 of 2010 because it is only a verbal warning, while written warnings and written statements of dissatisfaction have not been implemented. Inhibiting factors for the implementation of mild discipline in the Pelalawan Regency Education Office, among others, are employee awareness is still low in carrying out their duties, the sanctions given are less strict, so they do not have a deterrent effect.
