Abstract

THE INFLUENCE OF RECITATION METHOD TO OVERCOME STUDENTS’ DIFFICULTIES IN LEARNING ISLAMIC STUDIES AT SMAN 1 TAMBUSAI UTARA, ROKAN HULU REGENCY BY: DEWI RAFI MARTINI 162410159 This study aims to overcome students’ difficulties in class XI in learning Islamic Studies at SMAN 1 Tambusai Utara of Rokan Hulu Regency by using Recitation Method. The type of this study is a quantitative research with a correlation approach. One of the efforts to overcome students’ learning difficulties is by increasing students’ understanding of each lesson taught by the teacher of the subject of Islamic Studies. Based on the preliminary study, the reseacher identifies some problems, e.g. there are some students who find difficulties to understand the lessons taught by the teacher, there are some students who are not fluent in reciting the verses of Al-Qur'an and Hadiths contained in the teaching material, and there are some students who have difficulties in memorizing the Hadiths and Al-Qur'an verses which are used by the teacher of Islamic studies as requirements for completing final grades at the end of the semester. Therefore, it needs attention and solution for these problems. The problem formulation of this study is whether there is an influence of recitation method to overcome students’ difficulties in learning Islamic Studies at SMAN 1 Tambusai Utara, Rokan Hulu Regency. The results of this study show that there is an influence of recitation method in overcoming students’ difficulties in learning Islamic Studies at SMAN 1 Tambusai Utara of Rokan Hulu Regency, it can be seen from the value of R-Square of 0.573 or 57.3% which is included in the Strong Enough category.
