Abstract

As a company engaged in the transportation of goods, CV. Usaha Maju Setia has signed a contract of carriage agreement, CV. Usaha Maju Setia are then responsible for organizing the transportation safely. It means that the carrier party, that is, CV. Usaha Maju Setia is responsible for the safety of the goods and the security of the goods that must be transported, from the time of receipt to the time of delivery of the goods into the hands of the recipient. And if the transportation of the goods runs unsavoryly, for example, the goods suffer losses due to loss, damage or delays in their delivery, then this is also the responsibility of the carrier. The problems in this study are: (1) How to carry out the sea transportation of cargo wooden ships by CV. Usaha Maju Setia in Pangkalan Kerinci; (2) What is the responsibility of the Sea Freight of Cargo Wooden Ships by CV. Usaha Maju Setia. The results of the study obtained showed that CV. Usaha Maju Setia has performed its role in the implementation of transportation, in fulfilling the implementation of the transportation there are several inhibiting factors causing delays or damage to cargo goods along with cv responsibility. CV. Usaha Maju Setia in the event of delays or damage to cargo. The conclusions of this study are (1) Implementation of sea transportation of Cargo Wooden Ships by CV. Usaha Maju Setia, in principle, have gone well. (2) In the implementation of the transportation of CV CV. Usaha Maju Setia overcome several obstacles or obstacles, obstacles faced, including in the form of natural factors, accidents, or negligence of the pnegangkut party. (3) Responsibilities CV. Usaha Maju Setia in case of delay, loss, damage to goods then CV. Usaha Maju Setia will replace and be responsible for the goods it transports.
