Abstract

Pharmacies are shops where they sell prescription drugs and trade medical goods. Patients as consumers if they need drugs who will buy drugs at pharmacies. In pharmaceutical services in pharmacies, the role of pharmacists is a major concern because pharmacists are responsible for the practice of pharmaceutical services in pharmacies. The main problem is how to carry out the pharmacist's responsibility for administering prescription drugs at the Sukajadi Subdistrict Pharmacy, Pekanbaru City based on Government Regulation Number 51 of 2009 concerning Pharmaceutical Work and to describe the legal consequences in completing the pharmacist's responsibility for administering drugs without a prescription at the Sukajadi Subdistrict Pharmacy, Pekanbaru City based on Government Regulation Number 51 of 2009 concerning Pharmaceutical Work. This study uses the Sociological Legal Research Method (empirical) which is descriptive analytical, while the data collection tool in this study is through interviews. This research was conducted in Sukajadi District, Pekanbaru. The respondents in this study were pharmacies with problems and no problems, consumers who were harmed and not harmed. Based on the results of the research that the author carried out on the responsibility of pharmacists for administering drugs without a doctor's prescription at the Sukajadi District Pharmacy, Pekanbaru City, the authors can conclude that: The pharmacist's responsibility for giving errors in the form of compensation drugs by giving a sum of money, or providing health care until the patient recovers as usual. But it does not rule out the possibility that if an error occurs, it can be criminalized.
