Abstract
Prostitution is one of the acts of sexual violence against women that culminates in class society, and prostitution is usually carried out by exchanging bodies or having sex (sex) with some money or other tools as a means of buying and selling transactions. Another definition of prostitution is a form of sexual intercourse treatment without a marriage bond with a certain description, namely to anyone openly and almost always with a reward or payment. Good for intercourse to other sex that provides the satisfaction desired by the person concerned. The regulation of prostitution prevention activities is basically regulated in more detail in Regional Regulations in Indonesia. The regulation on the prevention of prostitution in the jurisdiction of Pekanbaru City is regulated in Regional Regulation Number 5 of 2002 concerning Public Order. As for the main problem in this study, namely 1, What are the Factors of Prostitution Practices in Pekanbaru City. 2. What are the Efforts of Government Officials in Combating Prostitution Practices in Pekanbaru City. This research is seen from its type, namely observation research research by means of surveys, namely collecting data directly from the field, while the interviews of this research are descriptive. namely providing a detailed and clear description of the prevention of criminal acts of prostitution in the jurisdiction of Pekanbaru City by the Civil Service Unit and the factors causing the occurrence of prostitution in the jurisdiction of Pekanbaru City. The results of this study are 1. The factors that cause the practice of prostitution in the city of Pekanbaru, it can be concluded that it occurs due to internal and external factors. 2, Efforts by government officials in overcoming the practice of prostitution in the city of Pekanbaru are regulated in Regional Regulation Number 5 of 2002 concerning public order, one of the efforts to combat prostitution is carried out by the Civil Service Police Unit by raiding places suspected of prostitution by providing initial action register to construction
