Abstract

Murder literally means taking the life of another person against the law and harming the interests of the other party, in this case taking the life of a person can be said to be very contrary to the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 39 of 1999 concerning Human Rights. Of the many crimes that often occur in people's lives, crimes against body and life are crimes against life (misdrijven tegen bet leven) in the form of attacks on other people's lives. As for what makes the problem in this research is what are the factors causing the occurrence of premeditated murder in the jurisdiction of the Kuantan Singingi Police and how the police efforts in tackling the crime of premeditated murder in the jurisdiction of the Kuantan Singingi Police in terms of criminology. This type of research is classified in the type of legal research observational research, because in this study the researcher directly conducts research directly to the location in order to provide a complete and clear picture of the problem being studied. This research was conducted at Polres Kuantan Singingi. For data collection tools, researchers used interviews and documentation. From the results of this study, there are several causes of the crime of premeditated murder. The first is the reason for revenge, and environmental factors. To tackle the crime of premeditated murder, the Kuantan Singingi Regional Police made efforts including: carrying out the functions of Pre-entif, Preventive, Repressive, and also conducting outreach to the public regarding the impact of the crime of premeditated murder.
