Abstract

ABSTRACT The research entitled "The Effect of Trichokompost and NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 Fertilizer on the Growth and Production of Rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.)". This research was conducted at the UPT Plantation of the Islamic University of Riau, Jalan Teropong, Kubang Jaya Village, Siak Hulu District, Kampar Regency, Riau. This research was conducted from November 2019 to May 2020. This study used a 4 x 4 Factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors, the first factor was Trichocompost with 4 treatment levels, the second factor was NPK fertilizer with 4 treatment levels, so there were 16 treatment combinations. In each treatment consisted of 3 replications in order to obtain 48 experimental units (plots) where of the 4 plants, 2 of them were sampled so that there were 192 plants. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the interaction and the main on the growth and production of roselle plants given Trichokompos and NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 fertilizer. From the results of the study it can be concluded that the interaction of Trichokompos and NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 fertilizer significantly affects the parameters of the number of flowers per plant, wet flower weight per plant, dry flower weight per plant, weight of flower petals without fruit. The best treatment is a combination of Trichocompost 6 kg / plot and NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 45 g / plant fertilizer. The main effect of Trichompos and NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 fertilizer was significant on plant height, flowering age, harvest age and number of residual flowers. The best Trichocompost treatment was a dose of 6 kg / plot while the best treatment for NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 was a dose of 45 g / plant.
