Abstract

The authors still find language errors in oral and written form. The occurrence of language errors in the field of phrases and sentences, especially in print media, is a phenomenon that encourages writers to research further and study language errors, especially in the journal of education and teacher perspectives at the Islamic University of Riau. The phenomenon of language errors is still found by the authors in the educational and teacher perspective journal of the Islamic University of Riau. The problems in this study are (1) What are the language errors at the level of syntax in the phrase field in the educational and teacher perspective journal of the Islamic University of Riau? (2) How are the language errors in the syntax level of the sentence field in the educational and teacher perspective journal of the Islamic University of Riau? The purpose of this study is (1) to describe, analyze, interpret, and conclude language errors at the syntactic level in the field of educational and teacher perspective journal phrases at the Islamic University of Riau (2) to describe, analyze, interpret, and conclude language errors at the syntactic level in the sentence field. journal of education and teacher perspective, Islamic University of Riau. The theory used is the theory proposed by Setyawati (2010). The data source in this study is the 2019 edition of the educational and teacher education perspective journal of the Islamic University of Riau. The data in this study are the errors of phrases and sentences contained in the 2019 edition of the educational and teacher perspective journal of the Islamic University of Riau. This study uses the content analysis method (content analysis). ). This research is a type of literature review research. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. The data collection technique used is hermeneutic technique, namely reading, note-taking, and summarizing techniques. The conclusions of this study are 1) Language errors in the phrase field in the educational and teacher perspective journal of the Islamic University of Riau 2019 amounted to 15 data; 2) Language errors in the sentence field of the educational and teacher perspective journal of the Islamic University of Riau 2019 amounted to 26 incorrect data at the syntactic level. Language errors that are more common in the educational and teacher perspective journals of the Islamic University of Riau 2019 are errors in the sentence field, especially the use of the term as many as 25 data. The cause of the error is because language users want to look modern, even just styles. So, the use of language confuses Indonesian and foreign languages ​​in a sentence.
