Abstract
This study aims to find out how the use of social media Instagram @plnriaukepri in communicating electricity education. This study uses a descriptive method that aims to obtain a description of the symptoms being observed. The subject of this research is 1 Communication Staff of PT PLN (Persero) Unit Riau and Riau Islands Region. The results of this study indicate that Instagram @plnriaukepri in managing and packaging messages is implemented effectively. Where all decisions, planning, and regulations are based on the head office. Instagram @plnriaukepri only accepts setting agendas or concepts that contain electricity information themes and manages these themes into electricity education information published in the form of photos, videos, and infographics, accompanied by release descriptions to clarify the intent of videos, photos, and those infographics that stick to delivering an actual informative message. In terms of response, Instagram @plnriaukepri responds to all comments as much as possible, especially comments containing questions or related information that is shared in order to maintain good relations with their followers. This is marked by active and open activities from the community and responses to @plnriaukepri's Instagram posts. The Instagram account @plnriaukepri also has several innovations that have been implemented, such as actively using easy language and using trending language or responses from followers.
