Abstract
ANALYSIS OF EDUCATION AND CULTURE DEPARTMENT DUTIES IN EDUCATION CERTIFICATION SERVICES IN THE MERANTI ISLAND DISTRICT ABSTRACT TARMIZI Teacher certification is one important element in the world of education, it aims to improve the quality of teachers and educators. Therefore, in the framework of providing certification to teachers, the Regency government in Meranti Island appoints the Office of Education and Culture as the executor of certification for teachers and educators. Therefore, the Department of Education and Culture must be able to provide maximum service, so that it can provide satisfaction to teachers who take care of certification. This study aims to explain the implementation of teacher certification services at the Department of Education and Culture. Along with the supporting and inhibiting factors. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. In the process of finding data, research uses observation methods, in-depth interviews with research subjects, and documentation. The results of this interview indicate that the quality of the certification services of teachers and educators in the Department of Education and Culture of the Meranti Islands Regency has applied Tangible, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, and Empathy dimensions along with its indicators. However, there are a number of indicators that have not worked in accordance with the wishes of the community, including lack of security and incomplete facilities and infrastructure. The inhibiting factor in the implementation of services in the Education and Culture Office is the absence of officials in the office or working outside the agency and internet network connections are disrupted. .
