Abstract
Pedestrian development in Pekanbaru City has not been managed properly, there are still many pedestrian paths that are misused by irresponsible parties, one of which is the pedestrian path on Jalan Riau. The purpose of this study is to provide an existing description and recommendations for better arrangement of pedestrian facilities and meet the standards and criteria in pedestrian facilities to meet the needs of facilities and infrastructure in the Riau Pekanbaru Road corridor. The data analysis method used in the analysis is a comparison of existing conditions with standards and an assessment based on the criteria and specifications of the Minister of Public Works Regulation No. 03 of 2014 and pedestrian perceptions to assess the level of comfort, security, safety and beauty of pedestrian facilities. Based on the results of the analysis, it is concluded that the condition of the pavement in the study location is currently almost entirely in a state that does not meet the ideal standard based on the Minister of Public Works Regulation No. 03 of 2014. The results of the analysis of pedestrian perceptions also show that existing pedestrian facilities are still considered bad. From the results of the analysis of the physical condition and perceptions of pedestrians, concepts and directions for the arrangement of pedestrian facilities in the study area are produced to create planning and procurement of pedestrian facilities that are ideal and in accordance with the needs of pedestrians.
