Abstract

Slum areas occur in large cities due to population growth or urbanization. The slum area that occurs under the Perawang Pipeline is caused by the large number of migrants looking for work and the growth of the population itself, so that the area becomes slum and the infrastructure is not in accordance with the technical requirements and the scope of services. Because there is no change for the better in the slum area, the researchers identified the condition of the slum area to produce programs, strategies and concepts so as to improve the quality of infrastructure and the community's economy. This type of research analyzes the existing conditions of slum areas using a qualitative descriptive method, while the government's efforts in handling slum areas use a qualitative descriptive method, while strategies and concepts for handling slum areas use the IFAS-EFAS method. Based on the SWOT analysis, the strength-opportunity strategy has 3 strategies, namely the development of home-based businesses to improve the economy of the community in slum areas by utilizing government funds and CSR, developing waste water management facilities in the form of sanitation and clean water management in the form of pamsimas to meet the community's clean water needs by utilizing government funds and CSR, and utilizing government subsidy funds and corporate CSR for building repairs on lands with property rights. For weaknesses, there are 2 strategies, namely preparing a plan for handling slum areas related to the arrangement and management of residential buildings in accordance with regulations and technical standards by utilizing government funds and CSR, and improving the quality of facilities and infrastructure for drainage networks, road networks and fire protection by utilizing funds. governance and CSR. For strength-threats, there is a strategy, namely, new development restrictions are allowed only on certified land and are carried out by land owners. Meanwhile, the weakness-threat strategy has a strategy of increasing supervision on new building permits and residence permits.
