Abstract

The PAMSIMAS Program in Tebing Tinggi District is a program that should be able to improve residents’ access to decent drinking water and sanitation facilities for low income people, but the PAMSIMAS program has not provided good results for the people in Tebing Tinggi District. This is proved by unmet clean water when compared to the needs of the community and the lack of public awareness of clean and healthy living behaviors. This research aims to provide an assessment of the achievement level of the PAMSIMAS program in Tebing Tinggi District. This research uses descriptive analysis methods with qualitative descriptive analysis techniques and categorization analysis using interval scales. Data collection is carried out by observation, interview and questionnaire. The level of achievement of the coverage of clean water and sanitation services is obtained with a value of 45,50%. The level of achievement of changes in hygienic behavior is obtained with a value of 75,55%. The level of achievement of the PAMSIMAS program in Kecamatan Tebing Tinggi was obtained with a value of 60,52%. Based on these results, the ongoing PAMSIMAS program in Tebing Tinggi District is included in the category of being quite achieved.
