Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of motivation on the performance of employees at Rektorat Universitas Riau, simultaneously and partially. The population and the sample in this research were employees of Rektorat Universitas Riau with a total sample of 60 respondents. The sampling technique used in this research is simple random sampling. Types and data collection techniques used are primary data was collected by using quistionnaires and secondary data consisting of documentation and observation. While data analysis techinuque used is to the validity test, reliability test, F-test, t-test and coefficient of determination (R ). The result showed that both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation simultaneously affect performance on employees, based on F-test of 8,693>5,01 and sig. 0,001. t-test result of 1,654<2,6699 (intrinsic) with sig. 0,104 and 3,816 ?2,6699 (extrinsic) with sig. 0,000. The result showed that there is no affect on the intrinsic and extrinsic motivation on employees of Rektorat Universitas Riau.
