Abstract

Misuse of the space utilization of Jalan Tuanku Tambusai such as for trading by street vendors causes road circulation to be hampered and is exacerbated by the lack of pedestrians for pedestrians and at certain hours traffic jams occur. This is caused by the large number of illegal parking along the corridor of Tuanku Tambusai road and exacerbated by the Loading Dock or loading and unloading of goods where on this road there are many service trading centers in all fields, so based on the background, location and utilization of the Tuanku road section Tambusai can be said that there are many conflicts between road users caused by the obstruction of circulation on this road. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a deductive research approach.Seand to analyze the facilities and special criteria for pedestrians based on the standards of the Minister of Public Works Number: 03/PRT/M/2014. Based on the results of field observations and analysis, it was identified that the pedestrian path in the Tuanku Tambusai road corridor is still not good, in general the condition of the pedestrian path is in a condition that is not suitable for use for pedestrians and the lack of supporting elements on the pedestrian path (Street Furniture). that pedestrian paths that have uneven widths and are used by street vendors and illegal parking reduce comfort and safety on pedestrian paths, from the results of the analysis formulated the arrangement of pedestrian paths with the Livable Street concept which includes: (1) safe and comfortable roads (2) have a healthy environment (3) as a community space (4) a path that has friendly territory (5) a pleasant green lane (6) a path that has an identity.The arrangement is in the form of providing (Street Furniture) as well as adding and utilizing several pedestrian and green lanes that do not yet exist in the Jalan Tuanku Tambusai Corridor
