Abstract

This study is motivated by the development of insurance service business as an extension of the government’s efforts in increasing community protection, one of them is through insurance services. The type of this study is causality research. Data sources used in this study are primary and secondary data. The population of this study are all customers who purchased financing insurance of Sharia Askrindo.Ltd in Pekanbaru in 2019 totaling 1.454 people. The sampling technique used in this study is simple random sampling, while the data collection techniques used are questionnaires and documentation. To analyze qualitative and quantitative data, multiple linear regression analysis is used and performed by using SPSS 23. The results of the study show that the factors that influence customers’ decision to purchase financing insurance of Sharia Askrindo.Ltd in Pekanbaru city are cultural factor (3.131), social factor (3.362), and marketing mix factor (6,075). These three independent variables have a significant influence on customers’ decision, it can be seen from the value of f count greater than ftable (59,061> 2.31) of the six independent variables, and the most dominant factor that influence customers’ decision to purchase financing insurance of Sharia Askrindo.Ltd in Pekanbaru city is the marketing mix factor (X6) which can be seen from tcount > ttable (6,075> 1,662) and the significant level is 0.05. Because the value (Sig) of 0,000 is less than 0.05 (0,000<0,05), so it can be concluded that the cultural factor, the social factor, and the marketing mix factor have a significant influence on customers’ decision to purchase financing insurance of Sharia Askrindo, Ltd in Pekanbaru city.
