Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the interaction and main effect of CPO solid waste and rice husk ash on the growth and production of celery plants. This research has been carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Khairuddin Nasution No. 113, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This study lasted for 4 months starting from February to May 2021. This study used a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors, namely the first factor was CPO solid waste and the second factor was rice husk ash, each of which consisted of 4 levels of treatment, where the treatment of solid waste CPO is without treatment, 7.5 g/plot, 1,500 g/plot and 2,250 g/plot, while the treatment of rice husk ash is without treatment, 150 g/plot, 300 g/plot, and 450 g/plot. . The parameters observed were: plant height, net assimilation rate, relative growth rate, number of midribs, wet weight of planting and dry weight of planting. The research data were analyzed statistically and continued with the 5% BNJ test. The results showed that the interaction of solid waste CPO and rice husk ash was significant on the parameters of wet weight of plantations and dry weight of crops. The best treatment was the provision of solid waste CPO 2,250 g/plot and rice husk ash 450 g/plot. The main effect of solid waste CPO has a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment is the provision of solid waste CPO 2,250 g/plot. The main effect of rice husk ash has a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment was giving rice husk ash 450 g/plot.
