Abstract
Gambling is a form of betting that insolves money. Where in this gambling game the party who gets it is game in the bet or can be interpreted as a match of fate, while what is said to be online gambling is activity carried out using online or electrnic media and also involves money in the game and internet acces plays an important role in it. This study discusses online gambling activities carried out by student in Pekanbaru city at unversity of X, whit qualitative method and descriptive mean to explain and describe the phenomenon that happened on student. The problem of this phenomenom]n is explained and solved using social control theory and differential association, correlation between these both theorie is where the failure of students to adjust to the scope and learning process about online gambling caused this phenomenon.
