Abstract

Floods are watery and also heavy, this happens because of the accumulation of rainwater so that it overflows. Flooding is a problem that is routinely faced by people who live on riverbanks and in urban areas. This study aims to make applications and design prototypes of flood monitoring on roads in the city of Pekanbaru in order to help provide accurate and fast information to the public, especially drivers before starting the area. The design used is to use the Arduino Uno R3 as a microcontroller to connect other components and an Android-based application to see the results of flood monitoring on roads in the city of Pekanbaru. The results of this design show that the water level via an Android-based application from calculations has been measured using an ultrasonic sensor.
