Abstract

WATERFALL KOBOKO TOURISM OBJECT DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY SOUTH FOLD CLOTH VILLAGE KAMPAR KIRI DISTRICT KAMPAR REGENCY ABSTRACT BY : AHMAD TAUFIK MANDASARI The tourism object development strategy is a policy implemented by local governments with the aim of obtaining local revenue. The tourism object strategy aims to provide the development and improvement of tourist objects so that more visitors can enjoy these attractions. However, the tourism development strategy has not been implemented optimally so that the tourism object has not changed. This study aims to determine the development strategy of the Koboko Waterfall Tourism Object, Kain Lipat Selatan Village, Kampar Kiri District, Kampar Regency and the inhibiting factors in its implementation. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, Where the data collection techniques used are interviews, namely getting the necessary information through direct oral communication with informants or sources. Apart from interviews, the data collection techniques used were observation and documentation. The data analysis technique uses an intractive analysis model, namely reducing the collected data, then presenting it and then drawing conclusions. From the results of the research conducted, it can be seen that the implementation of the Koboko Waterfall Tourism Object Development Strategy is quite good, where the Kampar Regency Tourism Office has carried out a strategy for developing and increasing tourist attractions. The obstacles faced in implementing the Object Development Strategy are the absence of cooperation between the Kampar Regency Tourism Office and the community in developing tourist objects so that tourist objects do not change every year and the lack of support for facilities and services. held at the location of the Koboko waterfall tourist attraction. However, the authors suggest that the Kampar Regency Tourism Office collaborate with the local community in developing tourist objects, the need for the Kampar Regency Tourism Office to improve facilities and services at the location of these attractions so as to increase visitor interest to enjoy them.
