Abstract
ABSTRACT This thesis discusses the Rarak Calempong Music Performance in Seberang Village, Kuantan Tengah District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province. The problem in this research is how is the form of the Rarak Calempong music performance in the life of the community in Seberang Village, Central Kuantan District, Kuantan Siging Regency, Riau Province? Based on the form of the Rarak Calempong Music Performance in the cultural life of the community in Seberang Village, Kuantan Tengah District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province, it is more aimed at how music becomes one of the symbols and patterns of life of the Malay community in the opposite village, so that Rarak Calempong music has lived with the people and cannot be separated from it. community culture. This study aims to analyze the Rarak Calempong Music Performance in Seberang Village, Kuantan Tengah District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province. The theory that the researcher uses is the performance theory of Suwandi Endaswara (2011). This study used qualitative methods and research subjects amounted to 6 people as resource persons. Data collection techniques used are: observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study conclude that the Rarak Calempong Music Performance in Seberang Village, Kuantan Tengah District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province is a musical art performance that is based on traditional musical arts in Seberang Village, Kuantan Tengah District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province, it can be seen from the object Performances, Players, Stage/Stage, Clothing, Property and Spectators which can be seen from the Rarak Calempong Music Show in Seberang Village, Kuantan Tengah District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province.
