Abstract

The internet is an access that is in great demand by people around the world. In everyday life, the internet is widely used by humans, one of which is in buying and selling. However, the problems that arise from buying and selling online are very diverse, ranging from the security of personal data to the seller's unresponsive response to complaints submitted by buyers. Regarding the existing problems, of course the seller must be responsive, because the seller's response or responsibility to consumer complaints has a big impact on his own online shop. The formulation of the problems raised in this study, namely: 1) What is the form of consumer protection against online buying and selling (shopee) hijab based on Law No. 8 of 1999 2) How are the obstacles to getting consumer protection against online buying and selling (shopee) hijab based on Law Law No. 8 of 1999. The research method used in this research is the type of empirical research. This research uses sociological juridical research. Sources of data used in the form of: primary data sources, s tertiary. Methods of data collection in the form of: interviews, documentation and literature study. Based on the results of the study, it shows that: consumers who have made purchases of hijab with several online shops get goods that are not in accordance with what has been promised and what the buyer wants, so the buyer certainly feels aggrieved, and in this case none of the buyers those who carry out procedures such as in court or outside the court, which is the reason for some of the online shop consumer sources because of the lack of consumer knowledge as ordinary people who understand the law, the second reason is because they don't want to carry out procedures in court and the next reason is because of the cost factor. and consumers do not know that there are institutions such as BPSK (Consumer Dispute Resolution Agency.
