Abstract
APPLICATION OF THE DISCOVERY LEARNING MODEL TO INCREASE ACTIVITY AND LEARNING RESULTS OF CLASS X STUDENTS IN ECONOMIC LESSONS AT SMA NEGERI 1 UJUNGBATU This study aims to increase student activity and learning outcomes in Economics class X IPS 1 at SMA Negeri 1 Ujungbatu through the application of discovery learning learning models. This research is a Classroom Action Research conducted in two cycles using the discovery learning. The subjects of this study were students of class X IPS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Ujungabatu for the academic year 2021/2022, totaling 36 students. Data collection techniques in this study used observations for the implementation of learning and activity, written tests for student learning outcomes, and documentation. The indicator for the success of this research is 70% for activeness and also 70% for learning outcomes for students reaching KKM 75. The results of this study indicate that through the application of discovery learning. can increase activity and learning outcomes in economic subjects. This can be seen from: (1) The increase in student activity, in the first cycle of 37.77% and 59.30% in the second cycle and has not reached the indicator of success, but there is an increase in student activity with the application of the discovery learning. (2) An increase in class average and student learning completeness. The average class in the first cycle is 76.86 and the second cycle is 79, then the student learning completeness in the first cycle is 64% and in the second cycle is 74%
