Abstract

If the initial planning of the foundation is wrong in calculating the bearing capacity, there is a big potential for construction failure to occur. Therefore, a research on the carrying capacity and settlement of piles was conducted at the Pelita Indonesia Campus Lecture Building in Pekanbaru. This reseang is aimed to determine bearing capacity, settlement, safety factor of piles, and to compare with PDA test resaets. Calculations using sondir data (CPT), structural drawing data and architectural drawing data were issued by CV. Moment Area, and the depth of the pile were obtained from PT. Jaya Sentrikon Indonesia. The calculation uses the Schnertmann method and the Nottingham + deRuiter and Beringen method, the Mayerhoff + deRuiter and Beringen method, the Sardjono HS method. Against the strength of the material, and the Sardjono HS method. Against soil congestion and 2D finite element methods. For settlement analysis using the Poulus and Davis method and the 2D finite element method. From the analysis on the ETABS software, the maximum load was obtained at point As-6C. The carrying capacity that is close to the results of the PDA test is the Schmertmann & Nottingham (1975) + deRuter & Beringen (1979) method of 2.758,08 kN and the Mayerhoff + deRuiter & Beringen method with a pile bearing capacity value of 2.729,57 kN and the safety factor obtained by using the Schmertmann and Nottingham + deRuiter and Beringen methods of 2,27, while in the Sardjono HS method, the carring capacity and safety factor are obtained for the strength of the material is greater, and for the 2D finite element method the carryng capacity and safety factor are obtained smaller by 1,62, the decrease which is close to the reduction of the PDA test is the 2D finite element method with an interface of 20,08 mm, whereas the decrease using the Poulus and Davis method is 2,47 mm and all the calculation of the reduction is smaller than the decrease in the permit of 50 mm.
