Abstract

This study aims to find out how the communication techniques used by the trainer to the audience during the training activities carried out at PT. Indah Kiat pulp & paper. This study focuses more on describing the Communication Techniques used by a trainer in conveying his message. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. There were six informants in this study, namely the EPPS School Head Trainer, APP Head Trainer, three audience members who participated in the training activities, and one manager who had participated in this managerial training activity. The data analysis used in this study uses an interactive model which consists of three stages, namely data reduction (data reduction), data presentation (display), and conclusions (conclusions drowing/verifiying). The results of this study are based on the communication techniques described by Onong Uchjana Effendy in Likap Sari during training activities at PT. Indah Kiat pulp & paper trainer using five communication techniques from the six techniques described, the communication techniques used are informative communication techniques, persuasive communication techniques, pervasive communication techniques, instructive communication techniques, human relations communication techniques.
