Abstract
Utilization of Instagram Social Media in the General Election Commission (KPU) of Riau Province Sudiono 189110083 The use of social media is a means of providing information, with the existence of social media the public can provide a good perception from one party to another. The Riau Provincial KPU in the context of providing information related to the activities they carry out, with social media is more able to provide clear and concise information. Utilization of social media, namely Instagram as a medium of communication and socialization carried out by the KPU Riau Province by providing information with views or perceptions to the public, related to those who do not know much. The approach used in this research is to use a qualitative approach. This type of qualitative research aims to explain the phenomenon clearly and in depth. The use of Instagram that is used to share information on socialization carried out by the Riau Provincial KPU is to provide information in the form of socialization and knowledge related to the political field which has been unknown to the public.
