Abstract

This research was conducted at the Experimental Foarm of Faculty of Agriculture, RiauIslamic University,Pekanbaru. Three months from June to August 2021. The research aimed to examine the effect of interaction of solid waste and NPK organic matter to the growth and production of shallot. The experimental design used was a factorial in a completely randomized design consisting of 2 factors, namely Factor SolidWaste and Factor NPK organic consisting of 4 levels so that there were 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications, obtained 48 experimental units with a total of 1,200 plants. Each experimental unit consisted of 25 plants per plot and 5 plants were used as samples. Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, relative growth rate, harvest age, tuber diameter, number of tubers per clump, wet weight of bulbs per clump, wind dry weight of bulbs per clump, tuber shrinkage and dry weight of biomass. The data were analyzed statistically and followed by with the further test of Honest Significant Difference at the 0,05 level. The results of this study revealed that the interaction of the combination of solid waste and organic NPK were significant for all observation parameters except for the tuber shrinkage parameter of shallots with the best combination in the treatment of 2 kg/plot of solid waste and 120 g/plot of organic NPK. The main effect of solid waste has a significant effect on all observation parameters, with the best treatment found in the treatment. The main effect of organic NPK had a significant effect on all observation parameters, with the best treatment found in the treatment.
