Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of kiambang compost and Oil Palm bunchAsh on the growth and production of shallots on peat media. This study used a completely randomized design consisting of two factors. The first factor was kiambang compost consisted of 4 levels of treatment with doses of 0, 15, 30 and 45 g per polybag. The second factor wasoil palmbunch ash consisted of 4 levels with a dose of 0.37, 5; 75 and 112,5 g per polybag. So that obtained 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications, obtained 48 experimental units with a total of 432 plants. Each experimental unit consisted of 9 plants and 2 plants were used as samples. The data were analyzed statistically and followed by test of Honesty Significant Difference (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results of this study were the combination of kiambang compost and oil palm bunch ash affected all parameters with the best combination of kiambang compost at a dose of 45 g per polybag and oil palm bunch ash 112.5 g per polybag. The main factor of kiambang compost affects all parameters with the best dose of 45 g per polybag. While the main effect of palm bunch ash affects all parameters with the best dose of 112.5 g per polybag.
