Abstract

Rumbio Regions are part District Kampar and District Rumbio Jaya, which is an area with most of the population livelihoods is agriculture. Based on this, a research on groundwater was conducted. The purpose of this research was to analyze groundwater quality based on physical parameters of water and geochemistry to obtain the types of groundwater and find out the distribution of groundwater quality as the principal source of irrigation water. The research method used is the MAT method, geochemical method with electrical balance, stiff and piper diagrams and also irrigation water quality method with %Na, SAR and RSC. Based on the results of a laboratory test of the physical parameter in test shows level of TDS as much as 6,4-172,3 mg/l, parameter pH shows a value 7,25- 8,36, parameter temperature shows a value 24,5-30,8oC, parameter conductivity shows a value 10,3-273,7 7 μS/m, concentration of Na shows a value 1,273- 38,637 mg/l, concentration of Cl shows a value 1,781-32,369 mg/l, concentration of SO4 shows a value 0,278-33,409 mg/l and concentration of HCO3 shows a value 2,440-34,160 mg/l. Groundwater conditions in the Rumbio Regions meet quality standards that have been determined. The final result of the research shows that the Rumbio area has 3 (three) characteristics of groundwater for irrigation water, which is 26,67% are very good groundwater characteristic, 60% are good groundwater characteristics and 13,13% are permissible groundwater characteristics.
