Abstract

Advancement in tcchnology and information need to be provided to students, one of which is by designing learning through computers with a drill and practice model. This research aims to determine the effect of the computer-based inquiry learning strategy of the drill and practice model to improve the mathematical connection skills of class VIII in circle material in junior high school for the 2019/2020 school year. The research method is a quasi experiment with The NonEquivalent Control Group Design. The population taken was all students of class VIII as many as 43 people. Sampling in this research using starurated sampling technique. The sample in this research amounted to 43 people, for the experimental class amounted to 20 students and the control class amounted to 20 students. The data collection instruments were the pretest and posttest questions on the mathematical connection skill. The data collection technique is a test. The test results were analyzed to see the mathematical connection ability of students through descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. In this research, inferential analysis used the normality test and utest. The results showed that there was an influence on the improvement of students' mathematical connection skills using computer-based inquiry learning strategies, the drill and practice model of class VIII, circle material in junior high school.
