Abstract
This study was conducted to determine and analyze the effect of career development on employee performance at PT. Persero Batam. The types and sources of data used are primary and secondary. The population is all employees as many as 195 employees. By using the Slovin formula, it is known that the number of samples is 66 people, and is determined using the Stratified Probability Sampling technique. Data collection techniques were obtained through interviews and research questionnaires. This research was carried out with a descriptive method. The conclusion in this study is the descriptive results of employee career development variables are in the category of strongly agree. This indicates that at work, employees are given development in the form of training and education that is beneficial in increasing abilities. The descriptive results of the employee performance variables are in the good category. The results of the responses of respondents stating that the performance that has been produced by employees can provide good quality while doing work. Employees can also complete the assigned tasks well and can be completed well. It is known that career development has a significant effect on employee performance at PT. Persero Batam.
