Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the effect of work stress on employee performance at PT. Ace Hardware Mall Pekanbaru Branch. The population in this study were all employees at PT. Ace Hardware. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling, namely sampling based on the objectives and considerations of the researcher and the sample was employees in the sales department, totaling 78 people. Data collection techniques in this study used interviews and questionnaires (questionnaires). The data analysis technique in this study used descriptive analysis and used SPSS 26. The results of this study indicate that work stress has a significant negative effect on employee performance at PT. Ace Hardware Mall Pekanbaru Branch. Work stress has a strong enough influence on performance with an R Square value of 62.1%.
