Abstract

This research was conducted to obtain information about the impact of the presence of minimarkets on the income of retail traders before and after the existence of minimarkets in Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency. In relation to this research, in general, the population in Bangko Rokan Hilir sub-district fulfills their needs through entrepreneurship or self-employment, trading and some are farming, laborers, civil servants, private employees, and others. Since the presence of minimarket buildings around business buildings, of course, it has an impact on their income. This research was conducted by field research and used a descriptive qualitative approach, namely using a questionnaire that had been provided for the 33 available samples. The results of the study can be described that the total income of retail traders in Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency has increased in number compared to before the establishment of Indomaret and Alfamart, while in the retail trader profit or profit variable, in general it can be described that there is a decrease in the amount of profit or profit obtained by retail traders. in Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency.
