Abstract

As an area with a large number of tourism sectors, the government of Tanah Datar Regency must carry out development in various sectors, especially the tourism sector. Given the large enough tourism potential, it must be supported by adequate infrastructure. One of the tourism places that is continuously experiencing development is the Puncak Pato tourism sector (Marapalam Hill). Peak Pato is also famous for its cool air, beautiful scenery and historical events. This Pato Peak Tour continues to be developed. Until now, it has been seen that the number of visitors continues to increase to come to visit Puncak Pato. The purpose of this study was to determine the constraints of the development of the tourist attraction of the Sati Bukit Marapalam (Puncak Pato) tourism object in North Lintau Buo District and its development. Data collection techniques in this study were observation and interview techniques, using complementary descriptive and quantitative methodologies. The population and sample of this research are the Head of Service, Head of Facilities and Infrastructure Object, Head of Tourism and Visitors as many as 30 people. The results of this study can be concluded that the input indicators are in the good category because the potential of the Bukit Sati Marapalam Tourism Object is very adequate. The geographical opportunities are very strategic, the process indicators are in the fairly good category because they have not implemented information technology and promotion. The output indicator is in the good category because the increase in visitors has not been optimal due to the COVID19 pandemic. Outcames indicators are in the good category due to the increase in the welfare of the local community due to the increase in visitors.
